My mom can knit.

My mom is the most creative person I know. She is an artist. And a pretty darn good one too. There is never a lack of demand for her services. This will give you an idea. She decided that she wanted to knit Sophia a hat or two for Christmas. The problem was that she didn’t know how to knit. So, about a week before Christmas she started learning. And this is what she did. I love you mom! Your rock the casa.

I’ll try to post some more stuff of her work. It is amazing.

Kylee is here!

After 36 hours of attempted inducement, Kylee made it to the outside world by c-section at 9:25 this morning. Everyone seems to be doing fine. Kylee weighs 9 lbs. and 13 oz.!! And she is 21.75 inches long. Yup. That’s right. She’s a two-month old.

Here she is just 2 hours old.

More Pics of Nadalie

Here are couple more pictures of Nadalie. She’s just a few minutes old in these two photos.

Nadalie and her mom will be with us here at the Promise house for two more days. They will be placed in a foster home closer to family on Thursday.

Angel is here! I’m a grandpa again!

We have a new addition to the Promise House family! Angel was born at 2:38 a.m. He weighs 7 lbs. 5 oz. and is 19.5 inches.

His mom had been hurting for about a week, but last night it got a lot worse. So, our director took her to the hospital to check things out. She was dilated to almost a 4 so they decided to keep her.

I’ll post pictures of Angel soon!

World, meet Samuel.

Samuel is busy today hanging out with his mom, making dirty diapers, and drinking milk.

He seems to like the outside world. He is, however, a little tired after the LONG day yesterday.

It’s amazing to see, after so many months, what God has been knitting together.

Pinnacle Mountain

I found a Kelty baby carrier backpack at a garage sale a few weeks ago, so we decided to hike Pinnacle to give it a try.

Sophia was awesome. She just hung out (literally) and took in the sunset as we made out way up to the top. Here are a couple pictures.

War Memorial Park

We had the evening off yesterday, so we hopped in the green machine and went to War Memorial Park. We rolled around in the grass, watched squirrels and chased a cantankerous goose.
