Sophia has trouble with them. The other day her Poppy and Gingy took her down to the playground in her lion suit. There was a little girl there named Lilly. Sophia said the following:
Yook Yiyy. Do you yike my yion suit?
Interpretation: “Look, Lilly. Do you like my lion suit?
Samuel and Amanda made it home yesterday afternoon. Everyone is doing great. Samuel spent a lot of his first night at home between Amanda and I. He seems to need some extra reassurance.
Our parents will be here through the weekend and into some of next week to help us out.
We’re thankful and recognize the fact that our lives are in God’s hands. And that Samuel is in our care only because Yahweh put him with us.
Also, today is our 5th wedding anniversary!

She’s having contractions. No epidural yet. Lots of pain. Here is a video of me comforting her during an especially painful contraction.

The word I mouth at the end is “Ouch”. I know it kind of looks like something else. But, it’s not.
Sophia experienced her first brain freeze tonight when she and I were sharing a bowl of ice cream. And I quote:
My mouf is burning, Daddy! My mouf is burning!
My friend Daniel Bramlett can dance. And, by ‘dance’ I mean gyrate. See for yourself.
Unfortunately, his wife, Laura, doesn’t quite have the moves that Daniel has. But, she is learning. Daniel and Laura reside in New Orleans where they attend New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.

He pried the tar out of my feathers. He plucked the thorns out of my feet.
We have a week off of classes between terms, so we decided to make the most of it and visit the pumpkin patch. Jones’ Orchard is about 30 minutes away and might just be the original location of the Garden of Eden. We didn’t see any snakes, but the apples were off the chain.
