AGM

| January 12th, 2006

Amanda and I are at AGM this week. AGM stands Annual General Meeting. All the missionaries from Bolivia, Paraguay, and Peru have gathered in Lima for some food, fun, fellowship, and renewal. It’s been a blast so far. We’ve met a lot of new people and have been able to hang out with friends we don’t get to see much.

It’s been really cool to be singing in English with such a big group and to hear sermons in English. We are all staying at a resort type places outside of Lima called “El Pueblo”.

Quinceñera

| January 12th, 2006

Amanda and I were the Padrinos of a quinceñera this past week. Quinceñera is like sweet 16. It is when a girl turns 15, and is a BIG deal. It is a major milestone in a girl’s life in Latin America. We were the padrinos for Diana Hutchison.

This means that we gave a little speech, had a seat of honor at the party, and I got the second dance with Diana. It was a blast!
