New Baby!

For those of you who don’t know yet . . .

Amanda’s Pregnant!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

She’s about 8 weeks along. We heard the heart beat the day before we left Peru. Chevere!

Merry Christmas!

After a very early morning flight from Lima, a quick stop in Panama, a mad dash in Miami, and a two drive from Memphis . . . we’re home again!

We spent a few days in Lamar with the Bush family. Now, we’re in Crossett with Amanda’s family.

Favorite presents thus far: an Ant Farm and iPod Nano.

In honor of Narnia.

I love the Chronicles of Narnia, and I can’t tell you how excited to watch the new movie in a few days when we’re back home. And, in honor of the new movie, we have renamed Wilson “Aslan” and we gave him a haircut to match! Here’s a pic.

(Actually, he was shedding too much! So we had the vet cut it back.)

Lately

We’ve been fairly busy lately with the four teams from the U.S. that came between Dec. 1 and 20. The Weaver’s left for the states the first of December so we’ve been doing a few things that they usually do for teams.

We are very excited. We will be flying back to Arkansas for two weeks starting Dec. 20th! Right now we’re busy trying to get our all our ducks in a row and all our presents bought before Tuesday.

Cuy

We’ve all heard that Peruvians eat Guinea Pigs. I personally have never eaten one . . . . . but I have seen quite a few.

One of the night watchmen was telling me about how he had a bunch in his house. I asked how much it would cost to buy one. He said nothing. And the next night he had one in a cardboard box for me!

That’s a picture of her. I’m gonna fatten her up and have Amanda cook her for Christmas.

Her name is Paco. That’s short for ‘para comer’ . . . you Spanish speakers will get it.
