Friday afternoon we loaded up with 20 5th & 6th graders (and 5 more adults) and headed for the hills. The International Christian School of Lima took their middle schoolers on a camping trip and we were recruited as chaperones. We went out past Chosica on the central highway.
It was a really short trip, but really good. There were kids from the U.S., Korea, Japan, Peru, and maybe a few more places. I felt like I was back in Arkansas, with the campfire, tents, the trees, and river. It was a really nice time.
But, in the middle of the night someone stole our ice-chest with all the lunch meat and cheese in it. So we went to McDonald’s on the way back into Lima. And then, last night someone stole my camera out of our truck. So, right now I feel kind of disillusioned with Peru.
aww.. man im really sorry to hear that. Sarah Hughey
