A lot of folks have gotten pretty upset about the Vintage 21 videos. I can understand why. However, they do make a pretty good point about how a lot of folks have come to view Jesus. Not to mention they are hilarious. You can see them here:

I used these as an openner for my “Who’s(e) Jesus?” sunday school series at Calvary Baptist. I didn’t ask permission, but the Sunday School guy had my back. Plus my class were all adults so no parents complained.
When Jonathan Kelly tried to use them for the youth group he had… more difficulties. One parent got really mad.
Interestingly, Vintage 21 has a really conservative stance on lots of issues, especially submission of women. Just goes to show “liberal” and “conservative” don’t mean much these days (nor have they ever meant as much as people thought they did).
I only watched the first one b/c I’m at work.
However, it didn’t seem to me any different than the stupid skits they do on the Logan Show on VTN.
mattlumpkin » I remember you telling me about that. And I think that maybe there is an age-appropriate aspect to it. Some things just aren’t going to help some people grow closer to Jesus . . . . but, others it will.
I didn’t know about Vintage 21 conservative stances. That’s kind of ironic . . .
