Kylee, the 2-month-old daughter of one of our girls, just couldn’t keep it together during the service this morning at Geyer Springs. It was a little embarrassing really. I mean, to lay out on the pew and fall asleep . . . sound asleep. That’s just not the Baptist way. We Baptists fall asleep sitting up, with our Bibles open so it looks like we’re reading and/or praying.

Haha! I love it. It’s so funny when people start snoring in church. It’s usually the old people, but I’ve caught myself dozing off during the prayer before. It’s just so quiet, sometimes you can’t help yourself!

    Shame on her.

    That’s too funny.

Leann » One time in Lima during a team meeting I fell asleep during the prayer at the end. The leader finished praying and everyone got up to leave, except me. I tried to convince them that I was still praying, but they didn’t buy it.

Sweet! We had an elderly man fall asleep in church one Sunday and the pastor called on him at the end to voice the closing prayer. His wife looked mortified but she stood up and prayed for him. I thought it very noble of her.

Hello my friends, maybe I should use Spanish so you can practice. I had just awaken up) It was that funny that everyday they would ask me if I was praying meaning sleeping.
    Go for Baptist.
Ademas eso me recuerda, “que todo lo que hagais hacedlo como para Dios.”

Susan » Wow. What a woman. This guy did well.

Claudia » Chocherita! Siempre estas orando/durmiendo. Para ti no hay diferencia!

Whoa that was a lot of Spanish in one paragraph…I think I got most of it though. A couple of weeks in Yauyos with youth. Sick with a fever and so tired..long naps in the dorm.
It feels good to get the gist of what’s being said even in Spanish. Yay me!
